When dealing with forces on an **inclined plane**, it can be easier to work with if the axes are rotated such that the horizontal axis is parallel to the surface between the objects. ### Balanced and unbalanced forces
If an object as a **zero net force** in all dimensions, the forces acting on it are **balanced** and motion does not change. Otherwise, there is a change in motion and the forces acting on the object are **unbalanced**.
